Privacy Policy
1. What we collect
We try to collect as little as possible. The app stores the following things:
- On your device only (browser localStorage): game settings (sound on/off, graphics quality), your best scores, resume points, and which games you've played. This never leaves your device unless you sign in.
- If you sign in with Google (optional): your display name, profile photo, and a hashed anonymous ID so your saves sync across devices. We never see your Google password.
- Aggregate, anonymous stats (only if analytics is enabled by the site operator): page views and game launches with IP addresses truncated. No cookies are set for this unless you consent.
2. What we do NOT collect
- Your real name, home address, phone number, or email (beyond what Google shares if you choose to sign in).
- Location data.
- Contacts, photos, microphone, or camera access — the site never asks for these.
- Behavioral advertising data — we don't run ad networks.
3. Kids & COPPA
Zaid's PlayZone is designed to be safe for players of all ages, including children under 13. We follow COPPA principles:
- No targeted ads, no behavioral tracking, no data brokers.
- Sign-in is optional — you can play every game without ever signing in.
- Multiplayer features use automatically generated nicknames by default; no real names are required.
- Chat is limited to pre-set safe phrases; free-form chat is disabled.
Parents: if you think your child's data has been collected by mistake, email us (see below) and we'll delete it.
4. Cookies & local storage
We use browser localStorage for settings and saves. We do not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If you clear your browser data, your local saves will be lost (cloud saves from sign-in will remain).
5. Third-party services
- Google Firebase — used only if you sign in, to sync your saves. Firebase privacy.
- cdnjs / jsDelivr — may serve the Three.js 3D engine if the local copy fails to load. They log IP addresses per standard CDN operation.
6. How long we keep data
Local saves stay on your device until you clear them. Cloud saves (if you sign in) are kept until you ask us to delete your account. Aggregate analytics (if enabled) is retained for up to 14 months.
7. Your rights
You can:
- Delete local saves any time via the in-game Settings → "Clear local saves".
- Request deletion of cloud saves by emailing the address below.
- Play fully anonymously without signing in.
8. Security
All cloud sync traffic is over HTTPS. Scores are signed with a client-side hash to discourage tampering, but we assume a kid-friendly leaderboard — not a financial system.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change anything meaningful, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, if you have an account, show a banner when you next open the site.
